For about 3 years I’d been researching what to do to my truck. I tow a 32’ OAL camper at about 8400 pounds loaded several times a year, use my truck for work around my home, and commute. Research and the local shop folk had pushed me in two directions: either the AEV lift or a Carli/Thuren lift. My goal was to be able to use my truck as a truck, not a toy, but use in a manner for trips and take off road without compromising capabilities for work. I came across the King site and saw they had options for OEM height vehicles for my RAM 2500. It seemed a call to ask more questions was in order. The young man from KING told me that they worked with RAM over 2 months to tune the shocks to do exactly what I was seeking. With this info, I went into my local shop and spoke to them about it. 3 months later I had the install performed. On the ride home I tried to be as objective as possible to not try and justify my expensive purchase. I was more than happy from the first pothole I hit on purpose. Rebound and dampening are now fantastic at the middle of the road setting. I have not played with any adjustments yet but for daily driving and towing I have been more than happy and would call this the best upgrade I have made on my truck. For those wondering I am running 35”x12.5’x17” on AEV Salta wheels. No trimming was needed. My payload is as intended with no drop like yo would get from a Carli or Thuren set up. The truck still works and now plays with less harshness and stiffness. Go to your local shop and get it done.
