TrailReady Motorsports finishes 2009 with Strong Finish

TrailReady Motorsports and the TNC Machine went to the season ending Henderson Desert Classic determined to finish 2009 on a high note. After our performance in the 1000 mile Vegas to Reno event and our hard fought finish in Mesquite, we knew we could aim for the podium in Henderson. The 240 mile is considered a sprint in endurance racing and driver of record Tracy Rubio would solo this race. We qualified 6th. As is the case in sprint races, several teams ran pretty clean and we found ourselves third on time at the halfway point.  After a quick fuel stop we left the pits in fourth just behind the TrailReady sponsored #42 of Wil and Emily Staats. We didn't need to pass Staats, just finish within 5 minutes of them due to our starting position. The two trucks battled the course and frequent dust pockets through lap three, staying even on time. On the final lap, when a buggy got release from the pits between the two it made the difference and we crossed the finish line 57 seconds out of 3rd position. We did finish the season on a strong note and will continue to push for a win in 2010.  Special thanks to Tim Sanchez of Dirtnewz.com who helped us with our bumper lights at the last minute.
