Justin Davis Wins Again, Two For Two in SCORE Class 1 unlimited.

King Shocks Racer Justin Davis survived a brutal San Felipe course to win his second SCORE race in a row. The desert that surrounds San Felipe is littered with deep, sandy whoops that punish a cars suspension and shocks. Justin and the Green Army Motorsports Team had a plan to go easy in the first half of the race to save the car and then go all out to the checkers. Several cars passed them early on but they all broke short of the finish line.   “The Green Army team had a flawless day with quick pit stops, no flats to our General tires and no mechanical issues to deal with,” said team owner Kevin Davis. “Our success comes from meticulous preparation by crew chief Jeff Offutt and the team, the use of the best components available like our King Shocks and Justin’s talent behind the wheel. Everyone on our team does their job to the best of their abilities. We all want to win but with an emphasis on having fun too. Some are saying we got lucky in San Felipe, That’s fine, we’ll take being lucky any day”. Lucky or just that good, the results speak for themselves. The team won the Baja 1000 last year on their way to the SCORE championship in class 12 and carried that momentum into 2011 by winning three out of four races they have entered this year, one overall victory at Glen Helen’s Baja Cup in their class 3000 car and the back-to-back class 1 wins in SCORE. Coming into the season the team was a bit of an unknown to the other competitors in class 1. After two wins in the first two races, you can bet people are now taking notice when the Green Army team pulls up to the start line.      Photos courtesy of Joey DiGiovanni and Green Army Motorsports
