Justin Davis, Green Army Starts 2011 with Back-to-Back Wins

Green Army driver Justin Davis in his class 1 debut takes the overall, unlimited, open wheeled victory at the SCORE, Laughlin season opener. While only 6.25 miles long, you might be deceived into thinking the Laughlin course was a piece of cake but the sandy terrain quickly develops deep ruts and huge holes that get deeper every lap. Drivers use words like brutal and punishing to describe the track conditions. With a mere 40 miles of testing on their brand new ES Motorsports, Class 1 car, the team began their weekend in Laughlin with high spirits. They were still savoring their overall win from just a few days prior at Glen Helen Raceway’s Baja Cup driving their class 3000 car. Laughlin would prove to be much tougher for the team as they battled the best drivers of the SCORE series on the track and some new car gremlins in the pits. When the results from both days racing were tallied, the Green Army team beat fellow King Shocks driver and defending Class 1 Champion Harley Letner by less than a minute. In a relatively few short years of driving Justin Davis has already accumulated a long list of accomplishments behind the wheel in several different race series including the SCORE lights season championship in 2010. After leaving Laughlin with the class 1 points lead the Green Army team plans to race for the SCORE season championship. The Green Army team has been around long enough to know it will be a tough season ahead but the win in Laughlin proves they have all the tools necessary to be a contender for the title in 2011.
